LD50 Version 1.2 has been submitted to Apple.  The very brief release notes:

Added local head-to-head mode: 2 players can now play against each other on the same device!

That's right... local multiplayer... which means two human players on the same iPhone/iPod touch.  Network multiplayer is being investigated for release with iPhone OS 3.0.

Also, the team at 148Apps.com was nice enough to do a review of LD50:

LD50 and LD50 Lite version 1.1 were approved by Apple on Wednesday March 25th!  It only took roughly four working days for approval.  Changes are detailed in a previous post here.

The first real review of LD50 is up.  It's a thoughtful review, overall very positive, but clearly not resonating with this particular reviewer:

Version 1.2 is almost done.  It will add a new gamplay possibility for all modes... more soon.

Version 1.1 of LD50 is pending Apple's approval right now. It was submitted on Thursday the 19th, so I expect it to pop on the 24th or 25th. LD50 Lite was submitted about 12 hours after LD50, so it should be on a similar schedule.

The brief release notes:

Improved rendering performance.
Improved user-interface interactivity.
Improved computer opponent AI.
Added starry skybox.
Changed computer opponent animation.
Rebalanced weapons.
Various minor bug fixes.

The ad hoc version for ibetatest.com beta testers is in the usual place.

Version 1.2 is under development and should follow in a week or so. Stay tuned to find out what's new in 1.2!

LD50 Lite has been approved by Apple and can be downloaded on the App Store for free!

I had to resubmit LD50 Lite because I was too shameless in my upsell to LD50.  It should be out in 5-7 days.

Thanks for your support!

BTW, if you were a member of the beta program, I'll be sending out an update on how to get a copy shortly.
